My Release

My emotions spill onto the paper

As if they have been sliced with a knife

Wanting more

Cutting harder

Trying to figure out

Just what I need to do

So I can live just one more hour

Without the pen

Without the paper

I don't think

I could live.

It's in my blood

It is my power

To make my life

seem a more happier.

My writing

So unhappily dark

But it's all true

Every word I write.

When I let it out.

When I write it down.

It makes me see

All that I lock away.

All my pain

All the shame

Flow out of me

In one swift movement.

Like a sense of release.

All the emotions

fill the pages

And I seem to forget

how unhappy

I seem to be.
